Olive groves
steeped in history
We started Kadmus The Olive Company to honour what extra virgin olive oil should be: honest, traceable, and tied to the land it comes from. We’re based in Xironomi, a village in central Greece where olives have been harvested by hand for generations. It sits at the foot of Mount Helikon, a landscape shaped by wind, stone, and tradition.
This is where we work. And this is where the story begins.
Meet the team
We’re Ziad, Nadin and Omar, three founders with one shared vision: to bring good oil to market without losing sight of how it’s made.
Kadmus The Olive Company grew out of conversations that started over food, curiosity about process, and a shared sense that we wanted to continue a tradition worth preserving. We didn’t set out to reinvent olive oil. We just wanted to make it well, keep it honest, and stay close to where it comes from.
Which is why we started small, built carefully, and found our place in Xironomi, a village rooted in tradition, just like the work we wanted to do.
"We named our olive mill Kadmus after the legendary Phoenician prince. Kadmus founded the ancient city of Thebes, which was an agricultural powerhouse and the capital of the local region."
– Ziad Rayya, CEO at Kadmus The Olive Company

What we produce create share with love
Sourced at the foot of the mythic Mount Helikon and cold-pressed within hours of harvest, this well-balanced extra virgin olive oil blends Megaritiki and Koroneiki olives for a flavour that’s both bright and grounded. We make it the way it’s always been done, with nothing added and nothing rushed.
